Our client 'Hitch' just launched its on-demand taxi service in Bermuda

Hitch, an online taxi booking mobile platform has gone live in Bermuda by launching an app for Android devices. Being a step forward from the other taxi apps around the world, the technology behind Hitch allows people to create an account, book taxi with a click, split fares between friends and process transactions electronically all through the interface of their mobile app.

With this launch, Hitch has become the first pre-arranged taxi booking app serving the people of Bermuda. Hitch has not just given a solution to book a taxi online with the help of a click on a smartphone but it has made it easy for people to travel around the island and has also helped drivers earn good revenues.

Some Plus Points of Hitch:

Hitch is more secure and a bit different from Uber as the platform does not allow anyone to register as a driver. Only professional drivers with a taxi licence can register as a driver on hitch and the company regularly check license registration details. This has been done in order to keep a check on the service being provided to customers. Any customer booking a ride will be able to see the name of the driver along with other details like vehicle number, driver picture. Customers will also be able to call the driver from within the app. Similarly, driver also gets the required info about the passenger who books the ride. At the end of ride, transactions are processed automatically according to the distance travelled and passengers can even tip the driver if they wish.
