Saving Lives with Tookan- RedCross!

International Federation of Redcross is the world’s largest humanitarian network that reaches 150 million people in 192 National Societies through the work of over 13.7 million volunteers with the aim to deliver Blood and Organs directly to the people in need. Redcross is completely a Non-Profit Organisation.

For this episode, we are extremely proud to host Mr Nilesh from Redcross India who is on a mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors

With the help of Tookan’s technology Redcross is able to deliver Blood plasma directly to the hospital bed in the minimum time possible, with the shortest route.

During the time of Covid Blood plasma demand has soared up dramatically and Tookan has helped Redcross in building a delivery solution for efficient, on-time and hassle-free blood deliveries. Through a central admin dashboard, for managing and streamlining the blood deliveries in an emergency, Tookan helped to reduce the time of delivery.

With ability To Track Deliveries In Real-Time Tookan enabled Family members and doctors to get a perfect estimate of delivery time and avoid last-mile challenges. People at Redcross are now capable of coordinating their Life-Savers (delivery agents) with the receiver and smoothen the entire process.

Tookan helped Red Cross to have complete control over their Life Savers, eliminate the incidents of being late and help to save a life.

With increasing blood requests it was important to integrate with the right delivery management software to get the most optimized routes for making multiple blood deliveries on-time. As With Tookan Indian Blood Services has successfully reduced delivery cost by 38%.
